Ok
I call It cold
Sine it should havé been Ghost's quote hé should havé 72 Hours priority from now on.
After 72 Hours It is first come, first post.

If the correct answer is found before a new quote is offered, its poster gets one point and the next quote.

After a new quote is offered, onl'y the answer to the latter one gets the quote after that. But the answer to the présent quote still brings a full point without time limit. Bonuses of course are always valid without time limit.

OK, OK, I'll restart the game.
A really easy one:
"I am too a XXX. The one who was trained as a deep-penetration mole and assassin. It really pisses me off when people underestimate me, y'know?"
Book?
XXX?
Who is speaking?
To whom?

It looks like you and I are the last two standing.

You can add "le quiz" in the last stanza of Jean Gabin's song "Maintenant Je Sais":
La vie, l'amour, l'argent, les amis, le quiz et les roses
On ne sait jamais le bruit ni la couleur des choses
C'est tout c'que j'sais ! Mais ça, j'le SAIS... !
P.S.
I must admit that I too am getting a bit bored with it.

Well, indeed if there is no third party around, there is no much point going on.

So, really, noone else visits here ?

Just in case someone is lurking, a hint :

The speaker appears in more books than the person spoken to.
But the latter appears in only a single other book, previous to the current one (both in internal chronology and in publication order), in which the speaker does not appear.

No, seriously, I believe a lil' hint is needed !
(and I know you like green, your original choice color=#004000 was almost black to the eye, especially within a quote, so I took the liberty of quoting you a bit greener : color=#00A000...)

My joke about Arya Stark (Games of Thrones) was not so stupid after all: I had correctly guessed the "sword" was a woman !

OK, new quote.

I'm not telling you which Universe this is but it is not a Penric story, neither one of the first two, and of course not of the two we haven't yet agreed on (waiting for JKCade and Reede Kullervo)
XXX was suddenly put in mind of the way the universe had changed to a stranger place the day his father had died. Just because we're adults doesn't automatically mean we can save you...
Book ?
XXX ? (if you answer by memory, OK just to identify the character and not give the exact designation in this particular sentence)
"you" ?

This is not the World of the FIve Gods, (a better name for Word of Chalion since now many books take place far from Chalion itself) so Renaissance Italy, Vorkosiverse or TSK.

A longer quote
XXX was suddenly put in mind of the way the universe had changed to a stranger place the day his father had died. Just because we're adults doesn't automatically mean we can save you... But this was a discovery each YYY would have to make in their own time. He took a deep breath. "All right . . ."
Book ?
XXX ? (if you answer by memory, OK just to identify the character and not give the exact designation in this particular sentence)
YYY ?

Well, XXX is not talking to "you" and the statement is so general it is not even clear that "we" means XXX and others, nor that "you" is whoever is in the immediate vicinity. Maybe, in XXX's mind, "we" include his parents, and "you" includes himself. Quite possibly, in LMB's mind, "we" included her father and "you" included herself. The sentence in italics is clearly a very general one.
Still, what I meant by the rather good guess as to who "you" can be are the YYYs.

Ok well I am gonna try this by memory...

Book ? Falling Free
XXX ? (if you answer by memory, OK just to identify the character and not give the exact designation in this particular sentence) Leo
YYY ? Quaddie

Ok then :)
She looked at him more closely. "You all right, xxx? You look really tired. And all pale. You haven't been sick or something, have you?"
He supposed three months of yyy qualified as about as sick as one could get. "Well, yes. Or something. But I'm recovering."
Book?
Who is "she"?
Who is xxx? (it's not a name in the quote, but it does refer to the second character.)
What is yyy?

A lil' hint, maybe ?

Re: LMB Quote Game

Hint #1:
Both characters appear in more than one ... hm, shall we say, installment, in the series in question.

Haha, ok. Sorry, I usually try to give super easy quotes. ;)

He supposed three months of yyy qualified as about as sick as one could get. "Well, yes. Or something. But I'm recovering."
Book?
Who is the first speaker?
Who is the second speaker? (xxx isn't his name, but you don't need to tell me what it is -- his name is enough)
What is yyy?

Hint #1:
Both characters appear in more than one ... hm, shall we say, installment, in the series in question.

Hint #2:
The first speaker appears in (I think) one other installment (and I use that word very deliberately) in the series.
She is never a POV character.
The second speaker appears in several (*ahemmost!*) of the series' books, installments, etc, yes, yes, it's exactly who you think it is.
