That almost describes like what I feel like in a crowd of people!

Scary!

I don't like big crowds either. I hate large moshpits especially. I am always at the side where I have room to move. In big crowds I am usually very quite, apart from when I get into that crazy mood hehehe.

I get real bad. Despite the temperature I will start dripping sweat, shaking horribly, and my chest starts hurting, my heart rate gets just way too high, and I can't breathe, and I lose my sense of everything. I become horrified. But I'm a weirdo.

Hahaha.

Yup!

I don't really like large crowds. Most of them are posers.

I fear I have accidentally strayed the thread from it's topic....

Eagles - Desperado

Desperado
Why don't you come to your sense?
You been out ridin fences for so long now
Oh, you're hard one
But I know that you got your reasons
These things that are pleasing you can hurt you somehow

Don't you draw the Queen of Diamonds, boy
She'll beat you if she's able
You know, the Queen of Hearts is always your best bet

And it seems to me some fine things have been laid upon your table
But you only want the ones that you can't get

Desperado
Boy, you aint gettin no younger
Your pain and you hunger, they're driving you home
And freedom, oh freedom, thats just some people talking
Your prison is walking through this world all alone

Don;t your feet get cold in the wintertime
The sky won;t snow and the sun wont shine
It's hard to tell the nighttime from the day
Youre losin all your highs and lows
Aint it funny how the feeling goes away

Desperado
Why don;t you come to your sense
Come down from your fences
Open the gate
It may be rainin
But theres a rainbow above you
You better let somebody love you
(let somebody love you)
You better let somebody love you
Before it's too late

I typed them out from memory, but I'm very sure that's right.

Meshuggah - Perpetual Black Second

Trapped in a ceaseless fever of spite,
an unending fit of resentment and anger
Caught in a moment of unforgiveness
In the snapshot of a hate filled second

The speechless flickering of uncomprehending eyes
-Dilated in disbelief
Your vacant gaze distorted
Twisted in its accusing glare

Teeth glimmering in emotional rage
Spit of hate suspended in mid-air
Bodies strained in fury
Devoured by jaws of despair

One single image frame I wish to forget
now replayed in succession of millions
The one second I will always regret
-My hell found in its reiteration

Held within the visualization,
the continuous rerun of my own violence
A fraction of time perpetuated
By my regretful soul animated

Please forgive the evil in me - The darkness within
Ferocious, inherent demon. Adrenaline gland resident

Threatened subconscious snake. Repressed into
striking coil
Surfacing that black second. Ascending with the boil.
This is Meshuggah. Psychotic-metal. It is full with strange timings and rhythms and scales and stuff. It is cool!

This song is Stengah. I can't find Perpetual Black Second. Stengah is still a great song though.

Definitely POETRY, MK!!
Though I've never listened to it, the lyrics are like the traditional Irish music I listen to a lot. Having said that, do you think I'd like the music?

That song is by Iced Earth. They are heavy metal. That particular song is more like hard rock, but Zepplin and the Stones are lullabyes compared to even this tame song.

But lyrically, it is awesome for any genre.

Somewhere I Belong - Linkin Park

(when this began)
I had nothing to say
And I get lost in the nothingness inside of me
(I was confused)
And I let it all out to find
That I’m not the only person with these things in mind
(inside of me)
But all that they can see the words revealed
Is the only real thing that I’ve got left to feel
(nothing to lose)
Just stuck, hollow and alone
And the fault is my own, and the fault is my own

[chorus]
I wanna heal, I wanna feel what I thought was never real
I wanna let go of the pain I’ve felt so long
(erase all the pain till it’s gone)
I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m close to something real
I wanna find something I’ve wanted all along
Somewhere I belong

And I’ve got nothing to say
I can’t believe I didn’t fall right down on my face
(I was confused)
Looking everywhere only to find
That it’s not the way I had imagined it all in my mind
(so what am I)
What do I have but negativity
’cause I can’t justify the way, everyone is looking at me
(nothing to lose)
Nothing to gain, hollow and alone
And the fault is my own, and the fault is my own

[repeat chorus]

I will never know myself until I do this on my own
And I will never feel anything else until my wounds are healed
I will never be anything till I break away from me
I will break away, I’ll find myself today

[repeat chorus]

I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m somewhere I belong
I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m somewhere I belong
Somewhere I belong

Really like that song.

Some other good ones I like, all by Jars of Clay.

Fade To Grey

It’s not hard to know what you’re thinking
When you look down on me now
Your trance of love is seeking
To turn this world around
But in my state of blind confusion
No God can pull me out
I see your love is willing
To turn me inside out

And then I see you there
The lonely tears I cry
I wish they’d release me

It’s in despair that I find faith
Summon the night to bow down to day
When ignorance is bliss
Save me from myself

Chorus:

And then I see you there
With your arms open wide and you try to embrace me
These lonely tears I cry
They keep me in chains and I wish they’d release me
Cold is the night but
Colder still is the heart made of stone, turned from clay
And if you follow me
You’ll see all the black, all the white fade to grey

Fade to grey
Fade to grey

[chorus x 2]

Liquid

Arms nailed down,
Are you telling me something?
Eyes turned out,
Are you looking for someone?

This is the one thing,
The one thing that I know.

Blood-stained brow,
Are you dying for nothing?
Flesh and blood,
Is it so elemental?

This is the one thing,
The one thing that I know.

Blood-stained brow,
He wasn’t broken for nothing.
Arms nailed down,
He didn’t die for nothing.

This is the one thing,
The one thing that I know.

Lonely People

This is for all the lonely people
Thinkin' that life has passed them by
Don't give up until you drink from the silver cup
Ride that highway in the sky

This is for all the single people
Thinkin' life has left them dry
Don't give up until you drink from the silver cup
You'll never know until you try

'Cause, I'm on my way, yes, I'm on my way
Yeah, I'm on my way back home

This is for all the lonely people
Thinkin' that life has passed them by
Don't give up until you drink from the silver cup
She'll never take you down or give you up
You'll never know until you try

That Fade To Grey song has pretty wicked lyrics!

Two wicked songs I like by Soilwork:
As We Speak

As we speak...
-the stable table turns
As we speak...
-I should have known we're burned
And I guess I'll never never learn which of those faces
who makes it all turn
As we speak...
-I'm going deeper down
As we speak...
-With a terrible sound
a feeble holy bastard son
has it only just begun?

[Chorus]

I turn away.....fading out alone
Was a lifetime worth it all?
...fading out...fading out alone
Ass we speak we turn to stone

As we speak...
A young man loses his mind
As we speak...
He kills what's next in line...
A broken down mother asks herself why
-Is this the end of her precious time?
As we speak...
-a conscience leaves without a trace
a silent departure to a silent place
what do we know about the anger that starts to grow?

Don't despair, time will heal your torment
Don't you dare, spend your days in hell
So beware, faith will bring you treason
While you stare... Oh!

[1st Lead Frenning, 2nd Lead Wichers]

I turn away....fading out alone
Was a lifetime worth it all?
...fading out...fading out alone
As we speak we turn to stone [Repeat]
As a lifetime turns to stone...

The Flameout

[Verse 1]

Don't look for compassion as long as you
Keep turning away
It's all that matters to me
When I try to puzzle your pain

You struggle against yourself by living in the dust
Can't you realize there's no one here who you can't trust
May the gods have mercy on your bastard brain
Hold on one more second my fatal one

[Chorus]

Feeding angels with despair
Flameout's reigning everywhere
And you need it so, you just can't let it go away

[Verse 2]

I try hard to pull the strings of your life, adopting my
Soul to figure out what's right
Deep down I know you can make it shine
-Save yourself and do not decline
An acute manner for an acute self-destructive kind
It is structured before your eyes
You're so inferior and vile!

A creator of demonized stress and steals the crown from
The evil ones living in his mess
The remnants of his youth lies public
just if someone cares...
-Swallow the bitter pill and justify!

[Chorus]

Feeding angels with despair
flameout's reigning everywhere
And you need it so, you just can't let it go away

[Bridge]

So here I stand all alone
Where is the face that I used to know
Can't believe you never found out why?
Why keep on hurting you're self

[Lead Frenning]

You struggle against yourself by living in the dust
Can't you realize there's no one here who you can't trust
May the gods have mercy on your bastard brain
Hold on one more second my fatal one

[Chorus]

Feeding angels with despair
flameout's reigning everywhere
And you need it so, you just can't let it go away
[Repeat]

Yup!

Emperor, black metal. They play highly polyphonic black metal with symphonic elements and stuff too. One of the foremost bands in the genre.
Emperor - The Eruption

... and after years in dark tunnels
he came to silence

there was nothing...

he realised that the cheering cries of worship
were but echoes of his harsh outspoken word
reflecting back at him from cold and naked walls
in hollow circles fled illusions of wisdom he had heard

"From nothing came all I ever knew"

and he beheld the ruins
of an empire torn apart
yet, no grief nor rage did bind him
just silent and bewildered
by the emptiness
he stumbled off his throne

suddenly, the walls around him cracked wide open
and an endless void appeared in flickering, grey light
"What force, but silence, has deprived me of my coil?

No trail to guide me. No point of reference in sight."

"By nothing, resurrection will be pure."

and he beheld the ruins
of an empire torn apart
wiping dust off his shoulders
just silent now
in this emptiness
leaving all behind

step by step
past all past
slowly he approached the surface
nothing left
to sacrifice
the mirrors mocked him on the way

In Flames - Square Nothing

For all the times you left me bleeding
Clouded, weakend by the haze
Cut of my pride, enough to forgive
Reconcile, back to square nothing

It seems I lost my direction
Don't have the strenght to let it slip
Have no desire for the shore
Just let me play here for some time

Spend some quality time with the demon of mine
I like the way you struggle but you know I'm here to win
Spent some quality time with my borrowed smile
The gleam is replaced, rip me open and erase me

Is this how I want to spend my days?
Shadowed, it fears me, my utopia
Try to find some peace to destroy
These are my sins, I'm heading to fall
Never understood though I accepted
All the weakness that I discover
You gave me a place to hide and lost the key
Drowend my head just to see it sink

Spend some quality time with the demon of mine
I like the way you struggle but you know I'm here to win
Spent some quality time with my borrowed smile
The gleam is replaced, rip me open and erase me

Spent some quality time with the demon of mine
I like the way you struggle but you know I'm here to win
Spent some quality time with my borrowed smile
The gleam is replaced, rip me open and erase me

This was one of the first true metal songs I heard. Just over a year ago. This song has the absolute coolest intro riff I have ever heard. It is a great song.

Children of Bodom - Everytime I Die

The faint blaze of the candle of my life,
slowly dying like a fire in a pouring rain.
No sparks of hope inside,
no shooting stars on my sky.
On broken wings, no flying high...

Another night, another demise,
Cadaverous wind blowing cold as ice...
I`ll let the wind blow out the light
'Cause its gets more painful every time i die.

Out of strenght to fight.
I cannot take another night.
I cannot take it no more.
Lust of light slips through my fingers
like blood on my arms.
Black candle wax has buried me...

Another night, another demise,
Cadaverous wind blowing cold as ice...
I`ll let the wind blow out the light
'Cause its gets more painful every time i die.

Well, I'm a big prog rock fan (Yes, Rush, etc.) and also like folk rock (Renaissance) but I still have a couple of real good lyrics.

This first one is wrutten by Neil Peart, drummer for Rush, and is called Ghost Rider:
Pack up all those phantoms
Shoulder that invisible load
Keep on riding North and West
Haunting that wilderness road
Like a ghost rider

Carry all those phantoms
Through bitter wind and stormy skies
From the desert to the mountain
From the lowest low to the highest high
Like a ghost rider

Keep on riding North and West
Then circle South and East
Show me beauty but there is no peace
For the ghost rider

Shadows on the road behind
Shadows on the road ahead
Nothing can stop you now

There's a shadow on the road behind
There's a shadow on the road ahead
Nothing can stop you now

Sunrise in the mirror
Lightens that invisible load
Riding on a nameless quest
Haunting that wilderness road
Like a ghost rider

Just an escape artist
Racing against the night
A wandering hermit
Racing toward the light

From the white sands
To the canyonlands
To the redwood stands
To the barren lands

Sunrise on the road behind
Sunset on the road ahead
There's nothing to stop you now
Nothing can stop you now
The second song is by Renaissance (oh how I wish I was in Japan in 2001 to hear them play together for the only time in the last 15 years), and is called Can You Hear Me?
Morning people take the news
A paper window on a world
They live on undisturbed
Thoughts may fly like the lonely birds
And lost behind the silent words
Voices are unheard
Put it down to city life
Oh if I understood
Passing by so easily
I'd reach you if I could
Can you hear me
Can you hear me

Fly like a song, fly while you're singing
A song without you, is a bird without winging
Some city flights leave in the morning
Some city nights end without warning
Can you hear me call

Evening people see the day
A silhouette on every face
A shadow on their eyes
I take my place within the crowd
We walk the dusty streets around
Encompassing our lives

Put it down to city times
Oh if I understood
Passing by so casually
I'd reach you if I could
Can you hear me
Can you hear me

Fly like a song, fly while you're singing
A song without you, is a bird without winging
Some city flights leave in the morning
Some city nights end without warning
Can you hear me call
Can you hear me call
Can you hear me call

[Instrumental]

Calling to the sky
The thunder drowns my voice within the rain
And I know you're near me
And I call throughout the storm
I know that you don't hear me
I call your name
I call your name
I call your name

Can you hear me call your name
Can you hear me call
Hear me call your name
I call your name
I call your name
Can you hear me call your name

[Instrumental]

Night time people find it hard
To hear themselves above the noise
The music holds its own
I recognised a place I'd known
I turned to find it carved in stone
A mirrored smile alone

Put it down to city nights
Oh if I understood
Passing by so far from me
I'd reach you if I could
Can you hear me
Can you hear me

Fly like a song, fly while you're singing
A song without you, is a bird without winging
Some city flights leave in the morning
Some city nights end without warning
Can you hear me call
Can you hear me call
Can you hear me call

omg EMC, Square Nothing is one of my all time favorite songs ever!!! It is so honest and relevant. You just have to put the words 'he said' in parentheses before the line "I like the way you struggle ... " so that the reader understands it is the demon talking.

Everytime I Die is just plain cool. Have you seen the video? I love the way the camera shakes (as if the music is so heavy that it shakes the earth).
