I don't exactly believe the more conceit the better, but being confident enough to post a picture or whatever or thinking you don't look too bad ain't conceited to me, it just shows confidence. Not a bad thing.

Hey, my dear--words of wisdom from me and the ancient wise Chinese people: "Admiring a woman for her beauty is like admiring a house for its paint."

There's nothing wrong with beauty, and beauty is, well, beautiful, but it is the structure and what's inside that really counts. Don't let anyone tell you differently.

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.

Anyone who can't see that is (a) blind and (b) stupid.

And don't you forget it. Or I'll keelhaul you. ARR.

The only problem I had was you're not smiling, I think you'd look much better if you were smiling, really. Nonetheless, it was far from breaking my screen or blinding me, really, you look good.

Well, you see, my sister had been trying to rip my book out of my hand, and had knocked me off the bed. I was very squished, but determined to read the rest of the chapter, and she took that picture without me knowing. So, I was reading and was very frustrated. I have a picture with me smiling, but I'm five, so it would be quite different....

But really, thanks. Appreciate the compliments.

At cho's behest:

Image

(I stress that this is both a bad photo and two years old. The only reason it exist is that it is part of my team photo for the Sheffield's pop maths quiz and we won so the photo went up on the net)

(btw, I'm the one in the middle)

I've got different glasses and clearer skin, but apart from that I haven't changed since then.

It's not that bad of a picture. You don't have a recent one?

I kinda wish my hair was that long again. I used to be almost to my knees. Now it barely hits my shoulders! I was always supposed to wear glasses but I was stubborn and wouldn't. And I still won't because they get on my nerves. I shall go blind. :D

glasses are good. if people try to poke you in the I they just hit the lens.

sadly, that IS my most recent digital photo (to my knowledge: I might rifle my family's collections of photos. Then again I might not.)

You are adorable. I love the ponytail. For some unknown reason, I had pictured you as a red-head. But you are still darling, none-the-less. (I like red hair.)

I still want to see the one in the dinner jacket though.

:)

You say your skin is clearer--you mean you are transparent now!?!

How did you manage that?

Thank you for posting it.

KAHREY: When I was in college, my hair was past my butt. Then one day I almost broke my neck because it had somehow gotten wrapped around the metal rod on the back of the chair, and when I stood up--- *YANK* My neck was stiff for a week, and I got it all cut off the next day. It hasn't been much past my shoulders since.
