Ok, not a Nexus story.
Further hint : the two characters talking belong to the same family.

Re: LMB Quote Game
In that case, I'm pretty sure I have it figured out, but this week is ridiculously busy, so if no one else finds it by Monday, I'll check it, and post if I'm right.
Waiting patiently for the next Lois McMaster Bujold book.
Re: LMB Quote Game
Book: TSK:Horizon"It's actually your fault [...]" "Oh? And me so... not there." XXX grinned. "When has that ever stopped anyone from blaming you? [...]"
Who's talking to whom: Sumac is talking to Dag
What is "your fault" ? "It's actually your fault I spent the winter at New Elm, Uncle Dag," Sumac confided to him. Because Dag got married, and so Sumac is the next in line for the matchmakers.
I originally thought it was Omba and Dag talking (about some squabble that was related to Dag or patrolling), but once I saw it wasn't there, I thought of Sumac.
Waiting patiently for the next Lois McMaster Bujold book.

Spare what?: Body from the solar mirror accident; all the bodies had pretty much been accounted for until they found this new one.

Huh. And here I was thinking it was probably in _Spirit Ring_. Though I'm holding myself out of this one. I'm starting to feel like a ping pong match.

Re: LMB Quote Game
Let's keep this show rolling.
I assume that all planets, ships and spacestations in the Nexus use standard Earth time units to measure time.
Questions:
I won't quibble about the difference between the duration of 1 day relative to Barrayar's primary (1 solar day) or relative to a distant fixed star (1 sidereal day).
I assume that all planets, ships and spacestations in the Nexus use standard Earth time units to measure time.
Questions:
- How many hours and minutes are there in one day on Barrayar?
For what event does Lois McMaster Bujold specify that information?

Miles had to attend many meetings, conferences, briefings and whatnot. These usually required all participants to be present at a pre-arranged hour (the Dendarii, ImpSec, the Count's Council, Simon and Aral, Gregor and his Auditors, Alys and her wedding planners, the Vorkosigan Household, and many others on- or off-world).
There is one particular gathering I have in mind.

Hint 2
At the start of the conference, they were 1 station chair short.
Of course the second question becomes: what was the conference about?
