Blessings: A Novel

The story of Blessings opens on a dark evening with the abandonment of an infant on the property of the old wealthy lady that every small town has and knows. However, the two teenagers who leave the child, mistakenly leave her on the steps of the caretaker’s small home above the garage rather than the steps of the older lady’s small-mansion. This begins the story and sets the backdrop to the characters and their slow unraveling of secrets and passions.
The ‘old lady’ is Lydia Blessing, whose family has been in possession of a large piece of land, Blessings, in the small town of Mount Mason since she was just a young girl. The land contains ancient trees, a pond, gardens of flowers… filling the story with a warm sense of summer on a picture perfect property. Lydia, a pristine woman of sophistication throughout the book reveals “lack of classâ€
