Everything is correct including the b) part of the bonus.

Should we say the half-bonus point goes to the person who finds the two other instances of female animals of Panthera genus (not tigress, but possibly twice some other species, or possibly two different species)?

Anyway you have the next quote and one sherlock
Human is as human does....Animals don't weep, Nine

"You were out, AWOL, unguarded with direct defiance of standing orders. I missed the pleasure, evidently by seconds, of making my next report to Security HQ a query of where to ship your broiled body. [...]"
The book?
Who speaks?
Who is spoken to?
Why would someone's body be broiled?

The book? Brothers in Arms
Who speaks? Duv Galeni
Who is spoken to? Miles (of course)
Why would someone's body be broiled? Miles had been AWOL to take care of a Dendarii problem on Earth that resulted in a wine shop on fire. Miles dove in to rescue to wine shop owner and the wine shop exploded into flame just as Miles staggered through the door.

We should have taken our chances back then, when we were young and beautiful and didn't even know it.
What book?
Who is thinking it?
Who is the other part of "we"?

I love this game. I get to use all my favorite quotes. :)

That was quick. A sherlock to you, and you're up for the next quote.

"Damn! XXX was right," said YYY.
"He usually is--what was the instance?"
"He said that permitting private judgements to turn my duty in the smallest matter would be just like getting a little bit pregnant--that the consequences would very soon get beyond me."
Book?
XXX?
YYY? (speaks first and last)
Who speaks second?

Bonus:
Who got into serious trouble for mentioning this exchange (or, more precisely, a sentence coming shortly afterwards in this conversation). Why?
Human is as human does....Animals don't weep, Nine

Book? Shards of Honor
XXX? Captain Negri
YYY? (speaks first and last) Simon Illyan
Who speaks second? Aral Vorkosigan

Bonus:
Who got into serious trouble for mentioning this exchange (or, more precisely, a sentence coming shortly afterwards in this conversation). Why? I think it was Cordelia talking to the Betan therapist who then thought that she was going crazy.

Wow!
This is going pretty fast!
All correct, including the bonus. Though I would have said the therapist concluded Cordelia was an agent for Negri, without even knowing she was one, rather than being crazy, but it was indeed Cordelia with the Betan therapist so you get one and a half sherlock and the next question.
Human is as human does....Animals don't weep, Nine

Well, I must say, it went incredibly fast these past 2-3 turns.
Usually it takes a little bit more (my previous EoA quote waited enough for me to propose a longer version).

Maybe you can try your chance on the still open bonus to that question: find two instances of characters compared to females of the Panthera genus, besides Quinn the Tigress in EoA.
(instance = book, character, species, context).
I know of three such instances, involving two different characters and two different species. It is OK if you give twice the same character or twice the same species provided you give two instances. Since there may be more than three, please give the chapter, of if quoting by memeory, enough context that I can easily find it to check in case it is one that Idon't know of... ;)

Why couldn't you be the one to run off with a younger, richer woman?
The book?
Who is thinking this?
Who is the "you"?

I have not verified this, but I think the answer is:

Komarr
Ekaterin is thinking this about her husband Tien

XXX smiled slowly, in grim numbness. "I'm not sure . . . what one human being can do. I've never pushed myself to the limit. I thought I had, but I realize now I hadn't. My self-tests were always carefully non-destructive."
Book?
Who is XXX/speaking?
Who is being spoken to?
What are the circumstances?

Edited:
PS. Because Voralfred asked, let me add that this is not _HH_ :D

Ok, here's some more:
XXX smiled slowly, in grim numbness. "I'm not sure . . . what one human being can do. I've never pushed myself to the limit. I thought I had, but I realize now I hadn't. My self-tests were always carefully non-destructive."

This test was a higher order of magnitude altogether. This Tester, perhaps, scorned the merely humanly possible. XXX tried to remember how long it had been since xxx'd prayed, or even believed. Never, xxx decided, like this. xxx'd never needed like this before . . .
Book?
Who is XXX/speaking?
Who is being spoken to?
What are the circumstances?

(lower case xxx's are the gender-specific pronouns appropriate for XXX)

PS. Because Voralfred asked, let me add that this is not _HH_ :D

Your an Honor Harrington fan too? Gotta be careful with THOSE qoutes, researching her is like doing a term paper on long winded speeches while the Fleet blows up around you... :D

I am also a Honor Harrington fan (not to the same level as an LMB fan, however), but I would not dream of proposing a David Weber Quote Game, just for the reason you pointed out. :D
That was just a joke, because of the word "Tester" which is the name the Greyson call their divinity. ;)
Hard quote, risi, but I think I have an idea now..

Looks like another false trail...
But I have yet another idea. Bedtime now in Paris ( past bedtime, in fact) so I'll try my latest idea tomorrow... .

Some clarification please,

"PS. Because Voralfred asked, let me add that this is not _HH_..."

_HH_ = The Hallowed Hunt? Or the aforementioned lady with the cat?

For some reason, I thought the quote came from Miles, speaking to Harra in Memory, but I just double checked it and no, it's not. So, one possibility down, several hundred to go!

_HH_ is Hallowed Hunt.
It is pure coincidence it also stands for the Lady with the treecat. This is definitely the LMBQG, no David Weber at all, it was just a joke I made because of "Tester" and because I had so much trouble finding it. I'm pretty sure I have it now narrowed to the book, but have to run now, no time to check.

Found it finally.
There are not so many people in the Saga that are prone to such theological considerations. After trying a few places with Cordelia, I was sure it was Ethan. But no, nowhere in EoA.
So I thought some more and decided it had to be in "Falling Free".

Leo Graf to Brucie-baby Van Atta when finding out the Quaddies are out-dated and the whole project is doomed.

Well done! Yeah, when I saw that line I thought that it would be a tough one, but that it did contain enough clues to finally hunt it down!

Your Sherlock, your quote! :D
